Reporting Email Issues
   
 
 
In order to have email issues resolved in the quickest manner, we need to see the full headers for the mail in question. This is especially important when reporting duplicates, slow delivery, or unsolicited messages that are getting through.

The following are instructions for obtaining the full headers using the most common email programs.

Outlook Express

  1. Right-click on the message in question, then select properties.
  2. Click the 'details' tab.

  3. Click on the 'message source' button
  4. To select all of the text, press Ctrl+A, then copy the text by pressing Ctrl+C
  5. Open a new compose window and paste the text of the message into the body by pressing Ctrl+V

Outlook

  1. Right-click on the message in question, then select options.
  2. Select all of the text in the 'Internet Headers' box, and then copy it by pressing Ctrl+C.
  3. Open a new compose window and paste the text of the message into the body by pressing Ctrl+V

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Select the message in question, then press Ctrl+U to open the message source.

  2. Select the source by pressing Ctrl+A, the copy it by pressing Ctrl+C.
  3. Open up a new compose window and press Ctrl+V to paste the source into the message body

Eudora

  1. Select the email in question
  2. Click the 'blah blah blah' button on the toolbar
  3. Select all the text by pressing Ctrl+A, then copy it by pressing Ctrl+C
  4. Open a new compose window and paste the text into the message body by pressing Ctrl+V
