Anonymous FTP

In order to use anonymous FTP, you must first sign up for our anonymous ftp option. Once you have signed up, you will have two folders in your FTP area. One is called /PUB and is read only for anonymous visitors and one is called /INCOMING and is write only for anonymous visitors. Using your own username and password, you will be able to read and write to both these folders. Never give anyone own username and password. Anonymous visitors can log onto these areas without your private information.

For anonymous visitors, provide the following information: Using an FTP client, a visitor can FTP to ftp.yourdomain.com, username: anonymous, password: their e-mail address. As an alternative, a visitor can get to your anonymous ftp areas using a browser by entering one of the following URLs: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/pub for getting files you have left or ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming for sending files to you.

Anonymous Visitor Retrieving Files: The PUB folder in your FTP site is read only. There a visitor can find files left for them by you. As an alternative, a visitor can get to the /pub folder using a browser by entering the following URL: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/pub.

Anonymous Visitor Sending Files: The INCOMING folder in your FTP site is write only. A visitor can leave files there for you. When a visitor has logged on as anonymous, they will not be able to see a file once they send it to you and they can not see files that others have left there. As an alternative, a visitor can get to the /incoming folder using a browser by entering the following URL: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming. They will not be able to see files there, but they can upload files to this area for you.
